This life sized portrait of Auseklis Ozols was painted by Walter Stuemphig while Ozols was his student at the Pennsylvania Academy Of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. The painting exemplifies Stuempfigs’s stern approach to composition and its relationship with color and value.
